There are a few remote places to stay around Valdez. The newest addition to remote lodging around Valdez is Glacier Lookout.
The Shoup Bay cabins are provided by the state of Alaska. Guest can either hike out or charter a boat to the cabins.
Ravencroft Lodge is located about an hours boat ride outside of Valdez.
