All year round you're sure to see eagles in Valdez. In previous years May-June Bayside RV Park would host a wild eagle feeding from 5:30-6pm where they throw fish out and eagles swoop and dive out of the sky for an easy meal. But it appears they won't be able to host this in 2020. The best places to view eagles are along Dayville Road on the south side of Port Valdez and along the Lowe River. Other places include the 7 mile spring (located near mile post 7 on the Richardson Highway) especiallay late August through October.
From October through December Valdez and the Lowe River Valley fill with hundreds of eagles.
