The Movies
The Valdez Civic Center Cinema is the closest movie theater to Valdez for 250 miles (402.34 km). It's located inside the Civic Center and plays one movie a week. Movies are shown Thursday through Sunday with one evening viewing on Thursday and Friday and three viewings on Saturday and Sunday.
The theater is a full size theater with a 34-foot screen, stadium seating, quality surround sound, and supports 3D movies.
Movies often show about a month and a half after their release date except for big releases like a Star Wars or MCU movie that may appear on opening day. Admission is about half the price of a normal movie ticket, and it's also cheaper to purchase treats at the theater rather than any of the local stores.
