From the current record 374 pound halibut, to the 10 inch trout Valdez has phenominal fishing.
Saltwater fishing charters usually fall into two categories, halibut and salmon. Halibut is deep sea fishing with the main goal of catching halibut, yet other specices include lingcod, and rockfish.
Coastal shore fishing is primarily pink, silver, and king salmon.
Trout are stocked in Worthington, Blueberry, and Thompson Lakes in Thompson Pass and Ruth Pond in town. Dolly Varden found in Robe Lake and surrounding streams.
