The Hatchery
Valdez Fisheries Development Association owns and opperates the Solomon Gulch Hatchery which they built back in 1981.
Since then the hatchery has grown to one of Valdez most popular attractions. From mid/late June through September the hatchery is a scene of massive salmon returns and buffet for sea lions, seals, otters, bears, ealges and sea birds.
The hatchery sits at the end of Solomon Gulch were when waters run high is one of the most attractive falls in the Valdez area.
